I feel like I was born in the construction trades. At a young age I worked at height (Rope Access), in remote areas, and in all environments. I wanted the skills to respond to any emergency at any time, this desire lead me to pre-hospital emergency medicine (EMR), wilderness first-aid, and rope rescue training. My work and personal experiences from this time left me feeling isolated, dreading human interactions, and losing my love of learning and mastering new skills. It was this experience that compelled me to address my own mental health and further lead me to complete a Diploma in Transpersonal Counselling Psychology.

Being a “helper” has always been in my nature. I find a true sense of purpose in knowing I have been of service assisting others in their journey to self improvement, providing an empathetic sounding board, and non-judgemental guidance. I believe that counselling is a collaborative process in which my role is to walk alongside each of my clients, providing them with the emotional support and psycho-educational tools to draw upon the strength & solutions that inherently lie within them. I work with adult individuals, those seeking relationship & marriage counselling, and women during their prenatal/postpartum period.

Why I Became a Counsellor & Social Worker
At the heart of my work is a simple yet profound truth: every person carries resilience and strength within them. My journey into counselling and social work grew from a deep desire to walk alongside people through life’s challenges — not to “fix” them, but to empower them to discover their own healing and growth.
My approach is holistic and strengths-based, recognizing that each individual’s story is unique.
Healing isn’t one-size-fits-all, which is why I draw on a wide range of evidence-based practices:
- EMDR, IFS, Narrative
- Vagus Nerve, Somatic, ACT
- CBT & DBT

If you are looking to improve your relationships, focus on personal growth, or work on healing from past wounds, you are in the right place. I believe that we have all that we need to heal ourselves within us, but sometimes we need the help of a compassionate person, such as a counsellor, in reconnecting to that part of ourselves. If you've been feeling isolated with your thoughts, emotions, and experiences, know that you are not alone - even though it may seem that way at times.

My ideal client is a neurodivergent individual (or any individual) navigating the exhaustion of masking, unmet needs, and the weight of being misunderstood. They want clarity, self-acceptance, and tools to meet their needs without shame. Ultimately, they seek to create meaning, live authentically, and reclaim their agency.
