My vision is to support Individuals, Couples and families to discover their fullest potential, to believe in their abilities, to strengthen that self-trust and confidence in their lives. With that, they will be able to - Respond and remember the truth and trust in themselves when those struggles of life show up - express it in a healthy way, not holding on to it and have it negatively affect their relationship with themselves and others around them. Learn and have the tools to cope and express. In counselling, we start to heal the beliefs that keep each and every one of us separate, and we walk towards intimacy and connection.

Do you feel like you're standing at the threshold of something important but can't quite make sense of it? You built the life you were supposed to want, and somewhere it started to feel like a performance you can't put down — burnout, a midlife turn, motivation quietly draining, a growing question about purpose and meaning. From the outside you're holding it together; inside you're exhausted. Together we slow down enough to understand what's moving underneath, so you can step across that threshold and build from your own ground.

I help individuals to achieve their personal psychological goals such as overcoming fears, improving their self-esteem and self-confidence, reducing or eliminating negative stress or distress in their lives, freedom from limiting beliefs and ways of thinking about the self and the world that deprive one of happiness and growth, destructive habits, or the greater goal of manifesting your ideal self or personality.

We all experience discomfort in our life. It can be physical, mental or emotional but it is all connected. Feeling down, stuck, angry, hurt or sad is a part of being human but it doesn't mean we cannot do something about it. Injuries are a normal part of life. Some are caused by us and some are caused by others, some are physical and some are emotional, some heal quickly while others seem to never go away but there are things we can do to help or hurt the healing process. Using a variety of techniques, we can work together to develop a recovery plan that works for you.

Most of my clients are wired a little differently, and the work fits the wiring. I see neurodivergent adults and youth: the ADHD engineer who can build anything except a morning routine, the creative whose best ideas arrive at 2am while the paperwork never arrives at all, the parent trying to decode a kid who doesn't run on the standard operating system. Therapy with me is practical. We figure out how your particular brain actually works, then build strategies around it instead of forcing it into shapes that never fit. The goal: less overwhelm, more traction, and a daily life that feels like yours.

Imagine you’re sitting across from each other again…
Not as enemies. Not as strangers.
Just… you two.
Imagine your hands don’t pull away this time.
Imagine your eyes meet—and don’t look down.
Imagine the words you never said…
finally finding their way out.
Imagine the silence isn’t heavy—
it’s safe.
Imagine the anger softens…
and underneath it, something honest is still there.
Imagine a kind of love that still has dignity—
respect, even in the pain.
Maybe nothing is the same as before.
But maybe… something real is still possible.
You don’t have to imagine it alone.

At times when we seek counselling, we aren’t totally sure what the ‘problem’ is, we just know our current realities don’t feel fully fulfilling. Other times, we can identify what the ‘issue’ may be, but feel stuck around how to move forward. Many people looking for a counsellor are seeking a change in their lives, at times wondering if a different reality is possible. Let’s use our time together to bridge the gap between your current reality and a more fulfilling future.

My style is practical, direct, and focused on helping men create real change. Many of the men I work with are doing well on the outside but feel like things are slipping behind the scenes. Stress is building, anger shows up more than you want, drinking is creeping up, or your relationship is getting tense. You keep telling yourself you should be able to handle it. We focus on what is happening now and build clear strategies to regain control, improve relationships, and get life moving in the right direction again.

Men's Issues Counsellors
Is therapy for men different than it is for women?
Therapeutic treatments and types are the same for men as they are for women, with the same protocols followed and the same strategies employed. Discussing one’s feelings and emotions is an integral part of most therapies, and some men find doing so more challenging. Therapists can help clients through the process; some specialize in treating men for this reason.
How do you encourage a man to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either himself or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
How can men prepare for therapy?
Men can prepare for therapy by approaching the process with an open mind, being willing to talk about their challenges, and giving treatment the time to work. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. It can be useful for men who struggle to recall their emotional states to write down notes between sessions about their response to a given event or how they were feeling at a particular time.
What should men know about the process of therapy?
One of the most common reasons men don’t seek therapy is the notion that there’s something wrong with them if they do. Men should know that just because they’re seeking therapy doesn’t mean they’re mentally ill or damaged in some way. In the same way people work on their bodies through exercise or a craft through practice, therapy can be a way to improve the mental and emotional skills needed to be productive and effective partners, employees, and people in all realms of life.
