My name’s Martin and I’m a Registered Psychologist who works with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. I most often work with people experiencing depression, anxiety (e.g., panic, OCD, generalized worries), and family and relationship difficulties, but also have experience in therapy and assessment with ADHD in children and adults. I place a strong focus on the ways that we experience emotions as well as how we communicate with others, but even more importantly with ourselves. Without necessarily realizing, we are constantly talking to ourselves through our thoughts and constructing how we experience the world.

Seeking support is sign of courageousness and strength. When we face challenging times, difficult emotions can leave us feeling alone and overwhelmed. Ideally, such times are opportunities to deepen our understanding of ourselves and of the lessons that have been presented to us. This path is a process of expressing our feelings, exploring our inner lives, and discovering our true and authentic natures. I believe that our well-being is rooted within us, although finding it can be complex therefore making growth difficult to experience.

Are you seeking counselling that is neurodivergence-affirming and trauma-informed?
As a neurodivergent myself, I’ll create a space where you’re heard, understood, accepted, and can safely explore your thoughts, feelings, memories, and sensations. We’ll collaboratively explore values that are important to you and what gets in the way of living them out.

When my daughter was only three months old my husband got suddenly extremely sick, to the point that he almost didn’t make it. Although this marked a challenging moment in our lives, it was also a very transformative time. Once we survived those gruelling months, we decided to change our lives and do more of what we love. It was time for me to do what I always wanted to do in life, to help others find ways to fulfill there lives to the fullest as well as help people transition through difficult circumstances.
