It might look like you have it all together, but inside, you feel anxious, overwhelmed, or disconnected. Maybe you're struggling in your relationships, putting everyone else first, or carrying the pressure of life. You might be neurodivergent, or a man who's never felt safe opening up, or someone from a cultural background where mental health wasn't openly talked about or a family where feelings were never spoken about. Deep down, you want to feel more in control, more connected, and more like yourself. You’re not looking for surface-level advice—you want someone who gets it, who sees you beyond the roles you play.

Life is challenging and difficult at times. It can create distress that affects every part of who we are: our thoughts, feelings, physical well-being and spirit, upsetting our ability to be effective with ourselves, others and manage the demands of our daily life. When we decide to reach out for help, we are acting courageously. Particularly if we do not have the energy or believe that things can be better. I am passionate about helping people. I work to understand the world from your point of view and help you gain a sense of balance and confidence to make positive changes in your life.

Are you overwhelmed by anxiety, grief, trauma, or life transitions? You don’t have to navigate it alone. In our work together, we’ll slow things down and gently tune into what your body is holding — the tension, exhaustion, and unspoken experiences beneath the surface. With warmth and curiosity, we’ll support your nervous system, build practical coping tools, and explore patterns at a pace that feels safe. My hope is to walk alongside you as you reconnect with steadiness, healing, and a deeper sense of belonging within yourself.

If you often feel stuck in your head and are curious about a more embodied, mindful, and arts-based approaches to therapy, I'd be glad to support you. Mindfulness based therapy can help reconnect the wholeness of our mind-body-heart, while arts based approach can nourish the kind of creativity and openness needed in facing life's storms. Doing counselling in and "with" nature can further nurture a sense of connection with something bigger than us, making our journey in navigating life's turbulent challenges less lonely.

Connection and understanding is key. Feeling like we can talk freely and understand each other is what it´s all about. Building trust and clarity guides our progress and paves the way so our efforts can lead us forward to the results we desire in our lives. In that context, professional techniques are like stepping stones and building blocks that help us along the way, particularly when we need it most. If you need support, don´t hesitate to reach out. Your needs and goals are an important part of who you are, and what your journey is. I will be honoured to offer all the support I can.

You may be carrying the weight of trauma, grief, or an identity that no longer fits the life you’re living. Perhaps you’re navigating a major transition, motherhood, loss, relational rupture, or a deep questioning of long-held beliefs. You might feel exhausted from holding it together, unsure who you are becoming, or longing for a space where you don’t have to explain or defend yourself. At heart, you want relief, clarity, and a sense of reconnection, to yourself, your values, and your capacity to live with more authenticity and ease.

How does art therapy work?
The process of making art allows people to express themselves. Art-making can take many forms, such as painting, collage, or sculpting. The therapist asks questions that the work elicits, such as how the person felt while creating their piece, or if any memories surfaced that they can discuss. The therapist will then work with the patient to process their experience, understand themselves better, and work toward change.

Does art therapy help with trauma?
Art therapy can be a valuable treatment option for those suffering from trauma. Traumatic experiences such as combat, rape, or childhood abuse can be so painful that articulating them can be too scary or painful; creating art allows people to express themselves without words, and tell their story in a different way. The physical nature of creating art can also help people feel rooted in the body, which may benefit those who feel disconnected from their body in the aftermath of trauma.

How long does art therapy last?
The duration of art therapy varies, but a common length for treatment is 10 to 15 weekly sessions. Some people may see improvement in just a few weeks, while others may choose to remain in therapy longer term. Patients should periodically discuss their goals with their therapist to make sure the two are aligned on process and progress.

What are the limitations of art therapy?
Art therapy is helpful for many people, but a limitation is that it doesn’t have as robust an evidence base as other forms of therapy, such as cognitive behavioral therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy. The evidence on art therapy is mixed; some research demonstrates its benefits, while other research suggests that it has little impact on patients.
