Hey, welcome! In a world where it can feel like we're drowning in information, I work to slow things down and help people to explore their own inner thoughts and feelings that don't always have the opportunity to express themselves. I view you as the expert in your life, and my job is to ask you the right questions and help you reflect on what is showing up, and identify patterns along the way.

I specialize in addressing depression, anxiety, and ADHD, integrating the latest research findings and tailored client approaches.
My clients want relief from emotional pain and guidance on their journey toward self-improvement. They may have tried self-help strategies, or perhaps even other therapists, but they’re still looking for something deeper and more effective. They want to work with someone who has life experience that truly understands them, someone who can see past surface-level issues and help uncover the deeper, root causes of their struggles. They are motivated by a desire to live authentically, experience healthier relationships, and break free from negative cycles that have held them back in the past.

I have had the privilege to work with a diverse population on issues that included anxiety, depression, trauma, immigration, grief, relationship difficulties, addictions, ENM, and many others.
People tend to feel more satisfied when their actions align with their values, their relationships are based on authenticity, and they are able to meaningfully participate in their communities. As you think about making changes in your life, you may feel stuck, unclear about your goals, overwhelmed by the journey, or affected by unresolved issues and past traumas. It is my goal to help you feel more hopeful, supported, and capable, as well as to provide you with the skills that can help you move forward with more clarity, confidence, and self-compassion.

You may feel overwhelmed. You overthink, doubt yourself, struggle with mood shifts, or feel easily triggered with your partner or child. You react in ways you later regret and wonder, “Why do I keep doing this?” These patterns often begin early in life, as our nervous system learns to stay on guard. Deep down, you want to feel calm instead of reactive, confident rather than self-critical, and connected without losing yourself. As a parent, you may long to be more patient, steady, and present. You want to feel connected, valued, safe, and secure; not just with others, but within yourself.

It was through her own personal journey that Trish came to find her expertise as a Somatic Psychotherapist; helping individuals, couples and families step into balance, health and connection so that they can live in joy, vibrancy and passion! After full recovery from a skiing accident that had her in a wheel chair for months, she began to feel uptight all the time, depressed, had unhealthy eating patterns, an autoimmune diagnosis, and disconnect in her marriage. She had forgotten all about joy, vibrance & passion or how to even reach for those things. If you have ever experienced these feelings & lack connection, Trish can help.

You stop pushing your feelings aside just to get through the day. And for the first time in a long time, you feel safe enough to breathe. Inner peace isn’t a myth. Self-acceptance isn’t out of reach. And the strengths you forgot you had? They’re still there - waiting to be uncovered.

Hello, I am Autumn! I work largely with play, expressive and nature based therapy. I work with children, teens, and adults. Play is how children communicate so there is no better way to work with the concerns that are close at heart then through play for little ones. Don't think that play is only for kids though - expressive therapy like painting, clay, movement, and other creative ways of being can help even those of us that doubt we are "artistic" reach a deeper level of self-connection and authenticity. Nature is a wonderful way to feel connection to something bigger than us while increasing our grounding and mindfulness skills.

Over the years I have found successful results when treating: anxiety, depression and mood disorders, substance use and addictions, identity and personality disorders, eating disorders, sexual identity and sexual orientation issues, PTSD, adolescence issues and middle life crisis, grief and loss, co-dependency, couple's conflicts and parenting challenges.
Based on the belief that: "we all have our own answers", I focus my efforts to provide a professional, non judgmental and non critical space, where people can safely engage in a process of self reflection and discovery through which they can increase their self awareness, and learn how to access their own answers and solutions to a wide range of mental health concerns and challenging life situations.

When should I seek treatment for anxiety?
Everyone feels anxious at times, but when anxiety causes disruption to your daily life, it may be time to seek help. Such disruption can be mental, physical, or both: having fear dominate your thoughts, avoiding situations or objects that bring on feelings of anxiety, or experiencing shortness of breath, sweating, dizziness, or panic attacks. When these symptoms are recurrent and distressing, it may be time to talk to someone.

What are the most common types of treatment for anxiety?
Talk therapy, particularly cognitive behavioural therapy, is the most common treatment for anxiety. Studies have shown it is equally effective as medication. Other forms of therapy are popular, depending on a patient’s experience. Exposure therapy, for instance, can be useful for people dealing with fears and phobias, or who have experienced traumatic events. Dialectical Behavioural Therapy may be useful for patients who need help with emotion regulation. Anxiolytic medications, like benzodiazepines, can also help with calming a person enough to focus on the skills they’ve learned, and physical exercise has been shown to help symptoms of anxiety across the board.

How long does therapy for anxiety take to work?
The amount of time needed to alleviate symptoms depends on the severity of a person’s condition. Some therapies may take 5-20 weekly sessions to show results. Anti-depressant medications typically take two to four weeks before a benefit is felt. Anti-anxiety medications are felt typically within 20-30 minutes. Medications are best used to offer a patient a better headspace in which to work on techniques learned in therapy. Exercise, improved sleep habits, and meditation are effective, but takes weeks or months to show results.

How effective is treatment for anxiety?
Treatment for anxiety has been shown to be moderately to highly effective, according to a large body of psychology studies and analyses. For some people, treatment using CBT or exposure therapy alone is effective. Others respond best to a combination of medication and therapy.
