My practice is dedicated to supporting children ages 5 to 12 years of age who are experiencing difficulties associated with anxiety-related disorders and general anxious thoughts and feelings. I offer evidence-based practice and intervention using effective treatment modalities, such as Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), play therapy, expressive therapy, and mindfulness, to address a number of challenges related to childhood anxiety. I utilize a child-centered approach to build balance and connection through a focus on a child's strengths, problem-solving, coping skills, and play.

In my practice I work predominately with people who are struggling with chronic illness and pain and help them learn to manage their feelings, emotions, and concerns that often accompany new illness or pain. Pain and illness can cause an increase in anxiety and/or symptoms of low mood, and additionally our identify is often affected by this transition, making our new reality feel even more difficult. Having a caring and unbiased ear to talk to about these challenges can help.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counsellor?
