I work from a trauma -informed perspective, integrating a person-centered approach, CBT, Somatic and Attachment perspectives when working with individuals and couples.
My deepest privilege is to come alongside you, listen as you share your story, and begin to help understand what happened to you. With this in mind, finding the "right" counsellor can feel overwhelming. Often, past experiences shape some of how you now view and process everything. I can help you explore those experiences, how they have affected you in the past and now in your current relationships, behaviour or thought patterns, and even how you perceive yourself, your kids, or your partner. Understanding some of these things may open the door to self-compassion, and bring meaning and healing to your life.

I integrate trauma -informed, emotion-focused, and body-oriented approaches that can bring your experiences alive and transform how you relate to others and parts of yourself.
I continue to experience how connecting to my emotions in the presence of an empathic and compassionate other can facilitate healing and growth. When I feel stuck, overwhelmed, or insecure, having a steady and patient presence by my side gives me the space to connect to myself, uncover what I need, and find my way forward. Thanks to these experiences, I wish to offer you a gentle and comforting space where you can connect with yourself. I also acknowledge that each person is different and while you may relate to my experiences, you may be searching for something else entirely. I wish to meet you where you are and move at your pace.

With over 7 years of experience supporting individuals and families, I offer a holistic, trauma -informed approach, where I incorporate family theories, and attachment theories, along with DBT, ACT, EMDR, Neurofeedback, and mindfulness techniques.
Seeking help is not always easy. Not knowing what to say, worrying about being a burden, fear of being judged or rejected…the list is endless. It takes a lot of courage to ask for help because we will have to put ourselves in a vulnerable place, where we surrender control. I believe vulnerability is the key to any close relationship. And here you are, bravely taking the first step towards the journey of healing and reconnection. Congratulations! Now that you have chosen to reflect on the past and move forward, I hope to have the honour of providing a safe and welcoming space for you to let the healing begin.

I focus on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approaches to work with trauma and other mental health concerns.
I am a South Asian woman of colour, who has experience working through a culturally inclusive lens. Through my lived experience and growing up in a multicultural society, it has given me a unique ability to see cultures from a different viewpoint; both the importance of beliefs & values that come from our cultures, whilst also recognizing the internal conflicts they can cause us as individuals. I believe as mental health providers it is important to meet the diverse needs of individuals within the community.

Everyone experiences situations in their lives when things do not work out as planned or desired. You may be having a difficult time in moving forward without the time, tools and support to do so in a positive way. Our emotional health is equally, if not more, important than our physical and mental health. When we are faced with trauma , our emotional health takes a toll and affects our ability to manage and demonstrate the emotions that arise from what we have experienced. When individuals and family members address and work on issues, which have been buried for years, they are able to achieve a sense of peace, balance and comfort.

I specialize in working with trauma , anxiety and depression, using methods proven effective by research.
Are you stressed at work and can’t sleep at night? Feeling worried, stuck and overwhelmed? I understand that these experiences can lead to feelings of loss – loss of control, loss of freedom, and loss of passion for your life. You might have been trying different strategies on your own, trying to power through the problem, relying on will power alone. Truth is - it’s not that you need to “work harder”. What you need is someone with the right knowledge and skills to guide you through the process and point you in the right direction. You are in the right place and you have options.

Hello! Thank you taking time to view my page. It can be challenging to reach out for support so I truly commend you in taking this very courageous first step. One of the most important aspects in finding a counsellor is to find one who can make you feel welcome, and safe. It is my goal in therapy to create a warm and inviting atmosphere where you can feel comfortable in just being yourself, knowing that you are accepted, no matter what your circumstances may be. I am always humbled by the insight that my clients bring to our sessions. No one client is the same and my treatment strategy is reflective of this uniqueness.

Trauma and PTSD Counsellors
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a psychological reaction that occurs after an extremely stressful event, such as physical violence or military combat. Those suffering from PTSD have recurring memories of the stressful event and are anxious or scared even in the absence of danger. Flashbacks and nightmares are common symptoms as well.
