You may be feeling overwhelmed by painful memories, emotional exhaustion, or like you’ve hit the end of the road. Perhaps you’ve been through trauma or difficult life events and now find it hard to trust, regulate emotions, or feel hopeful about the future. You may want to feel calm again, to be heard and understood, or to simply find your footing. You don’t have to figure it out alone. Many of my clients want to reconnect with themselves, find emotional balance, and build resilience—at their own pace, in a space that feels safe and supportive.

Hurting people hurt people, but they also tend to hurt themselves in the long run. The need for an unbiased and non-judgemental person to talk to can serve to provide a sense of relief from the stress you may be facing in the moment. I believe that is what we may need in our lives, and I am able to serve you in this area. For whatever your needs may be, I will tailor the treatment plan accordingly and strive to find the best approach to meet them.

Many clients come to me wanting more calm, better sleep, and a deeper connection to themselves as they move toward lasting change.
I use EMDR, parts work, and emotion-focused strategies to help clients move from overwhelm to clarity. Together, we identify triggers, strengthen self-regulation, and process the root causes of distress—not just the symptoms. My approach helps clients feel grounded, rebuild trust in themselves, and create lasting change in their emotional patterns.

Being alive means that we will experience pain, crave meaning, and eventually, confront death. It is normal, and even necessary, to experience anxiety in response. The question is whether this anxiety motivates us or paralyzes us. Problems arise when we are unable to feel a sense of agency in our lives; and it is through increased awareness that we can become better equipped to build the kind of life we want to lead and flourish into the kind of people we want to be. I work best with clients who want to be their most authentic selves, and are willing to dig deep to heal their past and create a better future for themselves.

Everyone experiences situations in their lives when things do not work out as planned or desired. You may be having a difficult time in moving forward without the time, tools and support to do so in a positive way. Our emotional health is equally, if not more, important than our physical and mental health. When we are faced with trauma, our emotional health takes a toll and affects our ability to manage and demonstrate the emotions that arise from what we have experienced. When individuals and family members address and work on issues, which have been buried for years, they are able to achieve a sense of peace, balance and comfort.

My ideal clients are adults 30–70 who feel worn down by constant pressure to keep others happy. They’re often overwhelmed, drained from always putting themselves last, and accustomed to hiding their real emotions to avoid conflict at home. I work with people who feel defeated, disconnected, or unsure how to regain motivation and joy in the activities that once mattered to them. If you’re struggling, or looking for steady guidance as you navigate personal challenges, I may be the counsellor who can help you reconnect with yourself and rebuild a sense of inner balance.

Hello! As a South Asian woman of colour, I have grown up and experienced living in a multicultural society, balancing the different identities that may come from being a child of immigrants as well as having peers of differing backgrounds. This has helped me develop a unique understanding of the experiences of those similar and different to me. I understand that our cultural upbringings, beliefs, and values may both help and hinder us in some ways as we grow into who we are today. We are made up of so many parts that make us who we are, and that is so important to understand and work with for your mental health and wellbeing.

When I reached out to a counsellor for the first time, I felt stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, and utterly exhausted. I was struggling to move forward. It took a couple of tries to find the right fit, but when I did, it was feeling truly seen, understood, and trusted that helped me develop the self-understanding and insight to navigate those next steps. My purpose as a counsellor is to support clients as they develop a sense of clarity, authenticity, and ownership on their unique path, whatever that may be, so they can experience a more fulfilling life and come to a place of greater peace within themselves.

Life can feel like navigating a dense fog while carrying a heavy backpack that grows heavier with every step. You’ve been doing your best, but the weight of anxiety, pain, or past hurts wasn't meant to be carried alone. I offer a gentle, grounded space to set that load down and be seen as you are. Together, we sit in the 'fog' and unpack the burdens keeping you stuck, helping you move through the forest toward your own summit with clear views. My goal is to help you clear the path, find your ground, and finally see the way forward with a lighter step. You don't have to walk it alone.

Counselling can help clients who wish to gain insight into their lives, relationships or jobs, who wish to make a change, or process past trauma. I have 5 years experience as a Registered Clinical Counsellor.

How effective is treatment for insomnia?
The most effective treatments for insomnia are behavioral techniques that reduce anxiety, including anxiety about falling asleep, and allow the body’s natural cycles to be recalibrated. The most common treatment is cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), which researchers have found to be more useful than medication, with rates of success as high as 80 percent.

Are there specific medications for sleep problems?
There are many medications, both over-the-counter and prescription that treat sleep problems. Supplements such as melatonin are popular and may help, though there is little evidence that it is more effective than a placebo. Prescription medications such as zolpidem are sometimes prescribed.

Are there natural treatments for sleep problems?
There are many natural treatments for everyday sleep problems. Reducing blue-light emitting screens, setting a regular bedtime, regular exercise, reducing caffeine and nicotine consumption, and keeping the bedroom dark and cool at night are all lifestyle changes that can help those who struggle with sleep but may not reach the level of an insomnia diagnosis.

What’s the difference between having trouble falling asleep and insomnia?
Life events, stress, and anxiety can lead to sleepless nights for everyone from time to time. To be diagnosed with insomnia, a patient must experience trouble falling asleep, trouble remaining asleep, waking up too early, or non-restorative sleep at least three nights per week for at least one month. Sleep problems affect one-third to one-half of the population, while chronic insomnia affects about 10 to 15 percent of people.
