SE effectively works with stress, traumas, anxiety, depression; is often referred for addiction recovery, abuse and neglect of childhood trauma, among many mental health issues and diagnoses.
Pain requires attention that heals it, not the kind that perpetuates it. For some this may be the first time seeking understanding, direction, helpful tools. Others may have sought a lifetime for relief from struggle, despair, confusion; challenges that feel overwhelming. Regardless, if you are hoping to live with more wholeness and ease, you are in the right place. This is exactly the time to make the connection with support that you deeply long to.

Struggling with anxiety, overwhelmed, experiencing conflict in relationships, or just feeling unlike your usual self?
I take a holistic, mind-body approach in my practice and work to develop an awareness of how our nervous system plays a key role in regulating our emotions and internal state. I integrate aspects of both talk and body-based interventions to best support healing and make the most of our sessions together.

But recently the stress and exhaustion are catching up on you.
First off, we can just talk like people, no psychobabble. I have created a cozy, little space for in-person sessions and offer the convenience of online work as well. Most of my clients are parents, some are even grandparents. We've all got some loss, trauma, faith shifts, role transitions, burnout, ADHD suspicions: nothing is off the table.

Together, we gently notice how your body and mind respond to stress and overwhelm.
As a neurodivergent mom with two kiddos, I understand the many challenges of navigating a neurotypical world. People with ADHD, Autism, and/or Learning Disabilities can struggle with balancing the demands of work, school, relationships, parenting, our own wellbeing, or even just everyday tasks. Our nervous systems often become used to chronic states of overwhelm, which can lead us to engage in old patterns of thoughts, feelings, and behaviours that keep us feeling stuck. My goal as a therapist is to empower you to understand how your neurodivergent brain works so that you can access your truest potential.

Being authentic means that you can live according to what you care about and do what you are good at. It involves knowing yourself, recognizing pressures to be a certain way (from inside and outside), and acting in a way that is consistent with your values. When you can't be authentic it can lead to feeling anxious, depressed, angry, or avoidant. This can result from messaging and roles put on you growing up, from a traumatic experience, being in relationships where you feel pulled to be a certain way, not being validated, or not having had the opportunity to figure out who you are.

My approach is multidimensional and personalized, drawing from various evidence-based practices, which include somatic, attachment, and mindfulness. While we can’t predict how we might respond to challenging situations, we can work to renegotiate our memories by accessing our body’s unique means of responding to triggers. The method is layered; together, we might consider your earliest attachments in childhood, how you have interpreted a traumatic experience and even your intersectionalities on a macro level. Once this evidence is gathered, activation is located in the physical body, energy is addressed and worked with somatically.
