I believe that each person has the ability to improve their life; to become closer to who they want to be. No problem is too difficult to face with the right kind of support. Many people are suffering on their own or feeling stuck in patterns that keep them from having the life they want. Counselling can change this.

With a Master’s of Social Work, I ground my practice in evidence-based approaches including EMDR, Internal Family Systems, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
I work with young adults navigating trauma, identity, self-criticism, and the many challenges that life can bring. As a newcomer to Canada, I grasp the intricacies of finding belonging and defining identity. I also understand how challenging vulnerability can feel, especially when opening up to others hasn’t always felt safe. With a warm and compassionate approach, I aim to reconnect clients with their own strengths, self-understanding, and capacity to grow.

Living with ADHD is so exhausting! You walk around everyday just trying to escape the hamster wheel that won't stop spinning. And worst, you have to mask around others just to appear "normal". You are drowning in even the simplest of tasks; living out of a laundry basket of unfolded clothes with day 3 of unwashed hair and did you even eat today? Life feels like chaos all the time! Did I mention the focus and time? Your probably even reading this after doom scrolling for the past three hours. But don't beat yourself up because of it. I'm Neurodivergent too; and I understand! Life doesn’t have to fit together perfectly like Lego!

If you’re reading this, you’re probably carrying something heavy — anxiety that won’t settle, old wounds that still echo, or a sense that you’re stuck in patterns you’ve outgrown. The truth is, you don’t have to stay there. There is hope, there is a way forward, and you don’t have to wait until you’re in crisis to get help.
I’m a Veteran and a counsellor who specializes in anxiety, trauma recovery, and post-traumatic growth — the kind of growth that doesn’t just help you survive what happened, but helps you become stronger, freer, and more grounded because of it.

When not in private practice I work with a non-profit organization supporting children, youth, and their families who have experienced trauma, like physical or sexual abuse.
I utilize modalities that are evidenced-based like play therapy, sand tray therapy, and Trauma Focused (TF) CBT. I also draw from attachment theory and Adlerian theory which emphasize a sense of belonging within our world. Many of my clients are impacted by substance use, trauma, and family conflict.

Though my specialty is grief support, I offer a broad range of therapeutic support for individuals, couples and families.
"I'm not fragile; I'm grieving!" I have been walking with grieving people for many years and they have always taught me something new about their journeys. Supporting the bereaved is a passion for me; educating those who work with the bereaved a privilege.

Family Therapy Counsellors
What do family therapists do?
A family therapist facilitates the process of understanding and improving how a family functions. The therapist will help family members develop empathy for one another. They’ll seek to understand existing patterns, misunderstandings, and conflicts that arise, in order to help the family arrive at a realistic, unified understanding and develop the coping skills they need to build stronger relationships.
How long does therapy for families take to work?
Therapy manifests differently in every family; a common time frame is 12 weekly sessions, but some families may see improvement after just a few weeks. Families should discuss their goals with the therapist at the beginning of the process and periodically revisit those goals to assess their progress together.
How can you encourage a family member to attend family therapy?
You can encourage family members to attend therapy by expressing with both love and concern the challenges you see and explaining how a therapist could help the family navigate those challenges together. An outside perspective can help everyone feel heard, get on the same page, and develop new skills. If family members are still hesitant, it may be helpful to emphasize that family therapy is short-term—it won’t last forever.
Is therapy for families effective?
Family therapy can significantly improve family dynamics and relationships. Research suggests that family therapy can help individuals understand their role in the family, communicate and solve problems together, reduce conflict and draw boundaries when necessary, and develop coping skills for stressors, major life changes, and mental or physical illnesses within the family.
