I support women in finding clarity, stability, and relief while navigating chronic illness, autoimmune-related stress, trauma recovery, anxiety, and separation or divorce.

With over twenty years of experience, I support women in successfully navigating complex health and life challenges toward clarity, stability, and relief. My work is grounded in both professional training and lived experience, helping clients understand what is happening beneath the surface and strengthen their ability to make informed choices, trust their own insight, and live a life of sustainable peace as they move forward.

Others are navigating major life transitions—parenthood, separation, divorce, or blending families—and want guidance to reduce stress and strengthen relationships.
I use the Gottman Method to help couples recognize harmful dynamics, build healthier communication, and increase intimacy, empathy, and trust. I also provide specialized support for separation, co-parenting, and blended families. My goal is to equip couples with strategies they can rely on both during and long after counselling.

You may be someone who shows up well for others - capable, thoughtful, and outwardly functioning - yet internally feel anxious, burned out, disconnected, or unsure of who you are beneath your roles. You might be navigating relationship strain, identity questions, life transitions, or long-standing patterns that no longer fit. Perhaps you’re tired of holding it all together or feeling like you “should” be coping better. You want relief from what feels heavy right now, alongside a deeper, grounded space to better understand yourself and move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and long-term alignment.

I work both with couples and individuals. I counsel people who experience symptoms of depression, ADHD, different types of anxiety, self-esteem, relational issues (e.g. dependence and co-dependence, assertiveness), problems with intimacy (emotional and sexual) and self-image. Moreover, I counsel people who deal with loss and loneliness, or struggle with issues related to ageing. Often I encounter people that don't suffer from anything specific but simply experience problems finding what they want in their lives, or just want to understand themselves more in depth.

I've been practicing since 1995 & I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor & Marriage & Family Therapist. However, I am now only accepting individual clients 18+. It's clear to me that we can all struggle, even if we are successful in other areas of our lives. Life can be unpredictable & the stress & demands of everyday life, work & relationships can take its toll. As stressors build, you may find yourself struggling with anxiety, mood, eating, body image issues or turning to addictive behaviours. You may also find that unresolved grief or past trauma keeps seeping into your daily life & especially when you least want or expect it.

Using a depth-psychodynamic approach, I help you get to the root of the issues in your life to make lasting positive changes. A depth (or Jungian) perspective looks into the unconscious forces at play while a psychodynamic perspective allows us to see how your past is playing out in your present relationships. I have an eye for spotting the patterns that are limiting your growth then I use a compassionate yet challenging approach and gentle confrontation to get you unstuck and out of shame, confusion, and depression. Above all, my focus is to empower and reconnect you with your inner truth and authentic confidence.

If you're struggling in relationships or with anything related to your sexuality, you are in the right place. These topics can be difficult to experience, and scary to discuss, so having a counsellor or therapist who can discuss these topics openly is important. Whether you are attending counselling as an individual or together with another person/people, taking this first step is important. Perhaps the passionate energy is gone, or maybe you don't even recognize the person you sleep next to anymore. Seeking support, this moment right here, is the most important thing you can be doing. You don't have to do this alone.

Divorce Counsellors
How does therapy for people affected by a divorce work?
Individuals may feel a number of emotions following a divorce, such as shock, guilt, grief, anger, and fear. Therapists offer a non-judgmental space for individuals to talk about what they’ve experienced and process their emotions. Therapists will help clients develop coping strategies. They can also help a client rebuild their sense of self and self-worth and talk about what a happier future might look like.

What’s the most common type of therapy following a divorce?
There are several types of therapy that may be useful for divorce, including cognitive behavioural, acceptance and commitment, solution-focused brief, and mindfulness-based therapies. Many therapy types are talk-therapy based, which is typically the most popular option for individuals dealing with divorce. Cognitive behavioural therapy is a widely-used talk therapy, however, there’s no specific therapy type that’s designed to help people with divorce, and different types will work depending on the person.

When should an individual seek help due to a divorce?
When the feelings of a divorced individual, or an individual going through the process of divorce, begin to disrupt healthy daily functioning, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If a person finds that they are not performing at work due to problems with anxiety or motivation, if they’re no longer seeing friends due to feelings of shame, or if they’re not properly taking care of themselves as a result of depression, speaking to a professional could help.

How do you encourage someone to go to therapy due to a divorce?
It’s helpful to express concern and love for the individual while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Sharing how the individual appears to be suffering, and what effects it has on them or on their children, should be done with compassion and empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
