I understand the challenges that individuals,couples and families may face, and believe that marriage and family therapy results in healthier, happier relationships. Our counselling sessions are goal-oriented and solution-focused. Fortitude Counselling believe that facing a challenge in life is an opportunity to challenge yourself and learn new strategies and skills to address the challenge head on.
David has over ten years in direct client counselling. Areas of counselling include; Maritial and couple counselling, relationship difficulties, families and youth in crisis, parenting issues, addictions, mental health and grief and loss. David has a Masters of Social Work, Bachelor Social Work and Diploma in Child and Youth Care.
David works in partnership with the client, to identify and work towards identified goals. This is done in a supported therapeutic environment, with an emphasis on personal growth and acceptance. Fortitude; finding strength of mind to work towards solutions.
