My ideal clients are teenage males and adult men who feel stuck, overwhelmed, shut down, or disconnected. Many come to counselling struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, anger, stress, substance misuse, relationship challenges, low self-worth, mental health concerns, or major life transitions. I offer a grounded, supportive space where they can speak openly without judgment, make sense of what they’re carrying, and build practical tools for change. My goal is to help clients feel clearer, more stable, more connected, and better equipped to move forward.

Going through separation and divorce is a rough process. The yelling, the tears or the fights that happen in the house is keeping you up at night and/or make you worry about your future. It is already difficult to discuss what belongs to who at this point, not to mention there are children involved. You want your children to be ok, but not sure how. Things that your partner said or did in the past seem to be stuck in your head and make you angry or sad. You want peace, you want no conflict and a way out of this emotional disaster. Talk to me, I am here to listen.

Hi and welcome! It is my mission to support people in a safe, non-judgmental space on their journey toward a life full of harmony, freedom and meaning. My experience has taught me that genuine presence, validation, open communication and even the smallest steps toward healing can help your growth. My clinical psychology training allowed me to acquire CBT-based, psychodynamic, family-oriented and person-centered methods, as well as several indirect techniques (e.g. symbolic, relaxation, imaginative and more), which I have used in my practice to help individuals and couples with a wide range of mental health concerns.

We are living in extremely challenging times - witnessing the rise of fascism, genocides, war, displacement, and climate change. For BIPOC, LGBTQIA2S+, women, people with mental health issues, and others of marginalized identities, it is exhausting to exist in this colonial & capitalist world. These systems were not built for us. They constantly extract from us and undermine our worth. It is important to know that you matter and deserve to be heard in a space that does not blame you for not doing or being enough. I support people of marginalized identities & allies to process their grief, honour their rage, and heal their wounds.

Sometimes it’s hard to notice when things aren't going well. It might be subtle signs that pop up at the end of the day. You feel like the day is going well and you’re keeping busy. But as soon as you have a moment of silence, your mind starts to cycle through things that you just don't want to think about. Do you find it hard to sit still and be at peace in these moments? Do you distract yourself as much as possible just so you don’t listen to your own thoughts? Maybe you have a hard time completing any of your important tasks? These are all normal reactions. Signals that your body is giving you to pay attention to.

Psychosis Counsellors
What’s the most effective treatment for psychosis?
The most effective treatment for psychosis is coordinated specialty care. In this model, a team of professionals works with a patient to address all aspects of the underlying disorder. This approach incorporates individual or group therapy, employment and education support, family support and education, medication management (which often involves low doses of antipsychotics), and case management to facilitate problem-solving as needed.

When should people seek treatment for psychosis?
People should seek immediate treatment at the earliest indication of psychosis. Symptoms include delusions, hallucinations, disorganized or blocked speech, and agitated body movements. Early signs that a person may be developing a disorder that will lead to psychosis include suspiciousness of others, memory problems and distractibility, an inability to think clearly, rapid or nonsensical speech, withdrawal from friends or family, aggression toward others, and sensitivity to bright lights or noises.

What if psychosis is left untreated?
Without treatment, psychosis can have significant repercussions, including injuries, job loss, homelessness, financial or legal trouble, ruptured relationships, and suffering for the person and their family. While early treatment for psychosis often yields the best results, there is no point past which it becomes useless to seek treatment. At any point, treatment can make a difference.

How do I get someone else to seek treatment for psychosis?
It’s extremely difficult to watch a loved one suffer from hallucinations, delusions, and other elements of psychosis—sometimes exacerbated by their fears of treatment. Have a conversation with them in a quiet space and maintain a calm, supportive tone. Share your concerns about behaviors you’ve observed, suggest treatment, and explain the potential benefits. Listen carefully to their responses. The person may not be ready after one conversation, but with time, they may come around.
