You want to be more in touch with yourself but you have been held back by anxiety, trauma, and people taking advantage of you. As part of the LGBTQ2IA+/neurospicy/geeky communities, you sometimes feel like you're cast aside and rarely understood. It is so tempting to give up, but you're thinking of trying something new. You've been fighting on your own for so long that now you're ready for some more support from someone who won't ask you to educate them about being queer or neurodivergent. So, people-pleaser, perfectionist, worrier, and/or warrior ages 16 to 66: creative arts therapy might be for you.
Traditional talk therapy relies on words and we can't always find the right word (or we have too many words!). Engaging your creative brain helps you make lasting changes faster. In sessions, we can use media/TV/movies/books you connect with, analogies of what you're feeling, art making, or playing with ideas through a different perspective.
You are ready to spend less of your time suffering, being controlled by your trauma, or never having a chance to play! I'm looking for clients that are committed to trying something different. If you are interested but unsure, feel free to reach out to me for a consultation where you decide if we would be a good fit. Adventure awaits!
