Struggles like the ones you are going through are frightening and isolating. It can feel like you are carrying a burden no one else could possibly understand, something that is impossible to put into words, and that feels too overwhelming to face. Anxiety and fear run right through your body and seem to come out of nowhere. Perhaps worst of all, you might be walking around feeling like you have to pretend everything is okay.

One of the greatest learnings in life is that we are a sum of our experiences, carrying small parts of our past with us everywhere we go. I love working with clients to help them connect the dots between past experiences and current day challenges. While we are all different, it is also true that as humans we have a lot of shared struggles. I work with clients to help normalize how past traumas might be showing up in the way they navigate relationships, daily events, and internal self-worth. Once we recognize it, we can then work together to begin to lessen the weight of these experiences.

Now accepting new clients! Throughout life, we all move through different transitions: anticipated or unexpected, joyful or marked by grief. These transitions might look like the loss of a loved one, grief, career changes, relationship shifts, burnout, or questioning your identity or purpose. It’s a privilege to learn about clients’ life journeys and to help them recognize how many strengths and abilities they already possess. As a counselling therapist, I strive to support clients by collaborating together to explore what might be holding them back from living their desired story.

In our work together, I focus on building a comfortable relationship in which you can feel seen, heard & empowered to make change that matters to you. I aim to help you engage with your life in meaningful ways & I believe in your innate ability to improve problematic situations & cope with concerns. However, we all need extra support at times & this is okay. I have a keen interest in working with women with ADHD specifically & I provide therapy & coaching in this area. I'm interested in our relationship with nature, especially with water & the positive impacts that blue spaces can bring to our general mental health and wellbeing.

Navigating mental health struggles in adulthood can sometimes feel overwhelming and isolating. Between work, relationships, and everything else life throws at you, it’s easy to feel anxious, uncertain, or disconnected from what truly brings you happiness. You might find it harder to connect with the people who matter most to you, or feel like you’re losing touch with who you are amidst all the noise.

“Nothing I accept about myself can be used against me to diminish me" - Audre Lorde You might be here because there's a sense of disconnection—from the body, from emotions, from a clear sense of self. Sometimes there’s no language for what feels off, just a quiet knowing that something needs attention. Whatever brings you here, it’s welcome. I centre practices informed by disability-justice, anti-oppressive frameworks, and deep respect for how your body, nerves, emotions and nervous system have carried you through life. I can help you learn how to build tolerance for the discomfort of being with yourself and your environment.
