Avi Davis
Clinical Social Work/Therapist, MSW, RSW, RP, CSAT, (cand)
I am an experienced individual and couples therapist with extensive clinical training in a wide range of therapeutic approaches. These modalities enable me to individualize our sessions to best suit your needs, personality, and goals. As an individual therapist, I work with adolescents (17+) and adults using Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Emotion-Focused approaches, EMDR, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I also provide Neurofeedback or EEG Biofeedback for issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, migraines, sleep problems, concussions, traumatic brain injury, and adverse childhood experiences.
As a couples therapist I deal with a variety of relationship issues such as communication difficulties, emotionally unavailable partners, unhealthy and repetitive negative cycles, infidelity, and depression and anxiety. I describe my approach as grounded, honest, and empathically challenging.
Most importantly, I believe my down-to-earth personality, flexible therapeutic approach and diverse life experiences make clients feel comfortable, safe and understood.
