Do you feel overwhelmed, stressed and depressed, hating your job and fighting with a partner or a family that refuses to adopt your views? Do you struggle to be the person you want to be? I offer confidential counselling and I believe in a client-centred approach. I am specialized in the field of memory studies, being interested in how identity is shaped, what are the paths of mental care and how to come to terms with anger, grief and depression. I also welcome immigrants of all nationalities dealing with acculturation, including family crisis, social anxiety and job related stress.
My standpoint is that spirituality and traditions are resourceful and integrative when about the therapeutic healing process. The multilayered notions of happiness, the wisdom of interconnecting with Others could be the way of transcending the individualistic crisis of yourself in our current societies. I accept new walk-in clients.
In my therapeutic agora, I adopt CBT and a narrative approach throughout a Socratic dialectal process. I also set up Catheras.com, aiming at accompanying the person to his/her discovery, empowering him/her not only "to live with pain", but also to the extent of reshaping identity with wisdom.

We are accepting now applications for a new group therapy starting on June 1st: Creative Strategies (walking and climbing on Gatineau hills, various recreational activities, canoeing, fishing, art sessions and new social connections) for Reducing and Coping with Stress: four sessions (one a week, half a day, in Luskville, in the beautiful landscape of Ottawa River beaches and Gatineau Park hills. This group workshop (open for up to 10 participants) is been designed to support newcomers and immigrants who seek strategies to better cope with their psychosocial challenges in the new adopted Canadian society. This workshop will be unfold on four sections: individual, family, society and work related behaviour.
