I am a psychologist who has made it my life's work to help young people and adults using research-based approaches. I specialize in working with children and adolescents as well as adult veterans and their families, and I have specialized training in psychological assessment (such as psycho-educational assessment) and therapy (such as cognitive-behavioural therapy). I have worked with thousands of people, including with gifted, autistic, and otherwise exceptional children. I also have significant experience working with teachers, police, military and veterans, first responders, and physicians.
I provide a sensitive, warm, and supportive environment for patients to find the courage to grow. I only use methods that have been shown in research to be helpful, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for anxiety disorders. I track progress and adapt therapy when things aren't working.
I focus on determining a person's core strengths as well as the key factors contributing to a patient's struggles. I take great pride in my adherence to evidence and my ability to communicate psychological concepts in a way that's easy for everyone to understand.
