My name is Asia, and I am a practicum student offering low-cost virtual counselling sessions. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and am presently working towards a Master of Counselling degree. My passion for healing and connection has led me to work with non-profit organizations offering nonjudgmental, low-barrier mental health support for youth and adults, prior to becoming a counsellor. I work to build a warm therapeutic space that promotes self-understanding and empowerment.
My approach to counselling is collaborative, person-centred, and trauma-informed. Drawing from systemic theory, I value understanding the unique impact of social, cultural, and attachment contexts on each individual. I bring authenticity, curiosity, and sensitivity to my work with all individuals, no matter where they are in their healing path.
I recognize the vulnerability and courage that it takes to enter a counselling space and am honoured to walk alongside individuals as they channel their wisdom and resilience. Most importantly, I believe in the strength and innate potential that each person carries to find transformation and joy.
