Life is really hard, right? I'd love to help you through it. Therapy is a collaborative process and I work with my clients to find solutions, process deep rooted emotions, and find their self-identity. I am comfortable working with clients who have experienced trauma, relationship issues, identity struggles, abuse, self-harm, and suicidality. As a parent myself, I love to offer support to other parents and caregivers of children of all ages. I also enjoy working with young adults, queer folx, and neurodivergent people (I have ADHD, myself). I am also kink/polyam/enm friendly.
I am a trauma-informed therapist and work mainly from an attachment-based, and acceptance and commitment model. I use a person-centered, feminist approach and I am trained in stress/anxiety reduction and emotional regulation techniques. I also often use somatic experiencing and mindfulness in my practice. Recently, I received my certification in DBT.
I sometimes use symbolic imagery tools, such as tarot cards, to further explore thoughts and emotions to gain insight, not as a way of predicting future outcomes.
