About
I specialize in providing Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), which helps individuals become aware of negative thought patterns and behaviours. This approach helps to increase feelings of confidence, and positive thinking. CBT paired with Mindfulness allows for clients to become aquatinted with their thoughts, and moods, while simultaneously developing a new relationship with them. This approach can benefit those who suffer form depression, anxiety, other mood disorders, anger issues or anyone who desires to have a stronger sense of happiness in their daily life. The approach can be modified for all ages and cognitive abilities.
I provide counselling for families. This includes blended families, families going through separation, adopted families, and any family struggling to feel connected. I focus on helping families develop skills to communicate effectively, and become attached in a way that allows all members to be successful. This includes parenting consults.
Couples counselling focuses on helping couples to navigate relationship highs and lows. During relationship counselling there is a focus on reconnecting, and developing a stronger and healthier communication pattern. This can include premarital counselling.
