Nia Gwenda: Girls with Purpose

This is a therapeutic group is for girls aged 12 to 18 years old who require additional support in their lives. Our focus in the group is to improve young women's sense of self and life skills by instilling them with positive strategies to living healthy lives. We hope to empower young women to become aware of their personal strengths, connect with their support systems, to manage their emotions & resolve conflicts well. We will use CBT, DBT, social media, art, exercise, music, narrative storytelling, drama & more within sessions as a teaching tool. Intake &final individual sessions included.

We are offering a 6 week therapeutic group designed for women. This group will provide a safe, supportive environment to women where we can feel free to express ourselves, talk, and learn how we can create a greater balance in our lives. Group topics include: developing healthy relationships, maintaining intimate relationships, developing supportive relationships amongst women, improving how you feel about yourself and your life, understanding and managing emotions and depression, strategies on dealing with stress and anxiety in your life and healthy ways to achieving good health and wellness.
