My communication style centres around curiosity, warmth, and directness. My practice is a safe space where you can express feelings openly, without fear of judgement. I will hold space for you to focus, identify, and sit with challenging emotions and thoughts. Emotions hold meaning and serve a purpose for us, and we can work together to help you connect with them more deeply. EFT is a more traditional type of therapy centred on processing emotion. EMDR is a form of accelerated processing centred on moments in life (often hidden from us) which we have yet to fully integrate.
Everyone needs something different from psychotherapy - we will collaborate together to suit your needs. My practice is a balance of EMDR & EFT (Emotion-Focused Therapy). My EFT work is psychodynamic and person-centred. This means who you are, and where you come from, is more important than any technique. Empathy, Genuineness, & Curiosity centre my practice.
I am accepting new clients, and welcome your email to schedule a free call. We can then do an intake session ($50), which gives us a chance to meet, and for you to see if I would be good fit for you. Seeing clients by teleconference. Sliding scale $130-$180 per 50 minutes (80 min for EMDR). I welcome LGBTQ+ clients. Covered by insurance for Psychologists.
