When do you get to be yourself? Day to day, we rarely talk about who we truly are. My practice is a warm, safe space where you can feel and share your feelings, openly, without fear of being judged. If you choose to work with me, I will hold space for you to focus, identify, and sit with potentially uncomfortable emotions and thoughts. I believe that emotions hold meaning and serve a purpose for us. The more we become aware of where our feelings, beliefs, and reactions come from, the better equipped we are to choose how we will respond in the future - rather than just reacting. We can work together to build this emotional awareness.
Everyone needs something different from psychotherapy - we will collaborate together to suit your needs. I draw on elements of CBT and EFT (Emotion-Focused Therapy), but my work is more psychodynamic and person-centred. This means who You are, and where You come from, is more important than any technique. Empathy, Genuineness, & Curiosity centre my practice.
I am currently accepting new clients, and I welcome your email to schedule an initial call. From there we can do a reduced rate intake session, which will give us a chance to meet, and for you to see if I would be good fit for you. Currently seeing clients by teleconference, my office is near Christie TTC. My pronouns are he/him and I welcome LGBTQ+ clients.
