In this life we each face our own losses, hardships, traumas, challenges and changes. These experiences can leave us feeling alone, hurt, disconnected, confused, depressed, anxious, lost... Sometimes it may even feel as though we have lost ourselves, no longer recognizing the person in the mirror staring back at us. Therapy offers a supportive pathway through our struggles. Together we explore, find understanding, connect to what is meaningful and move towards healing. Along the way we gather your strengths and build on them, picking up those parts of yourself you thought were broken or lost while also discovering new ones.
My understanding of health and well-being is wholistic: inviting mind (reflection), body (somatics), values/beliefs (meaning), community (social) and environment (nature) into the therapeutic process. I endeavour to create a therapeutic space that is care-full and compassionate, that invites curiosity and fosters respect for self and for each other.
Life is up and down and can turn us around but we do not need to navigate it alone. We are all capable of growth and healing both through and on the other side of life's challenges. Together we can retrace a way back to your self and uncover a path forward. Reach out when you are ready.
