Becoming a parent can bring joy and fulfillment, but the changes and stress that accompany the early years can also have substantial impacts on a parent’s mental health. Nothing can truly prepare us for this significant new role. New parents are often overwhelmed with how how all consuming caring for a baby can be, may experience challenging shifts in their important relationships, and my not yet know how to cope or access the support they need. Parents in later stages are not immune to struggles either - managing toddler behaviour, learning to manage our big feelings alongside our little ones - often without any roadmap.
I would be honoured to support you along your parenting journey. I offer individual therapy and parenting support sessions for adults in all stages of parenting. I have a strong background in children's mental health & parent education, I am a Certified Perinatal Therapist and am trained in Somatic Experiencing (along with many other useful modalities).
I will help you understand and validate your needs, as well as understand your child’s various emotional needs and behaviours, and help you build a sense of confidence in your new role. Together, we will build resilience and capacity to work through this challenging time. Please book a free consult through my admin if you'd like to see if we're a good fit!
