Most people have had experience with trauma and addiction - sometimes both. I have extensive experience in multiple areas including substance abuse and addiction, relapse prevention, sex, love and relationship addiction, grief, loss, mental health and trauma (informed). With my years of experience I will help you attain skills and coping mechanisms to focus on your future. This means that I am able to support and guide you through your journey. Counselling takes time and energy – for you as well as your family. It is important to treat both the client and their family and I am willing to explore that with you.
I have been working in the addiction and mental health field for the past 17 years. I started working as an assessment counsellor at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health and after two years I moved on to Bellwood Health Services under the mentorship of Penny Lawson. I have extensive experience with addiction and relapse prevention.
Life becomes overwhelming and there doesn’t seem to be a clear path ahead. My role is to help you remove the obstacles blocking your way so you can carry on with your journey with my support. There is no easy answer. We will work together to overcome the stresses so you can continue to do what you have to do for yourself.
