I am a registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers. I previously worked in a child and adolescent outpatient psychiatry program where I gained valuable experience in providing support to children, adolescents and young adults with mental health. I currently work providing counselling support to students at the local university with emotional and mental health difficulties and offer the private counselling part-time. I am passionate about helping youth, adolescents and adults cope with anxiety, depression, and other emotional struggles which often get in the way of their quality of life.
I am experienced in a variety of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy , and solution focused therapy. I am also interested in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and have recently been attending more training related to that model.
