With over 17 years of experience in providing mental health treatment to children, youth, and their families, I can help with a range of challenges like trauma, anxiety, and depression. I am a RSSW psychotherapist and my approach is client-centered which focuses on your strengths and goals.
Sessions involve a variety of hands-on tools like art and play to make connections and lasting change. Art can be used with all ages as a form of communication and expression to explore intense emotions, without relying on words. A variety of body-centered practices are used in sessions to promote healing and encourage whole-brain connections.
Mindful awareness is used in sessions to understand how our past shapes how we perceive and make sense of the world. By bringing gentle awareness to how we engage with that world, creates opportunities to make powerful changes. It is an amazing feeling getting out of our heads and connecting with the world around us.
