Angela Cabral
Clinical Social Work/Therapist, MSW, PSW
People come to me to resolve challenges that get in the way of living well. A trusting relationship is the essence of effective treatment. You need to feel understood and connected in order to share your inner world. My training and extensive years of experience enable me to earn trust and cooperation to help people identify and achieve their goals. My approach to treatment is interactive and collaborative and my style is warm and engaging. Respectfulness, clarity and directness tempered by humour characterize my work.
I am a graduate of McGill University with a Masters degree in Social work and trained at the McGill Couple and Family Clinic. I bring more than a decade of experience to the process of making therapy work, addressing the needs of individuals, couples, families, adults and adolescents.
I have extensive experience treating people who want to make significant changes and improvements to their relationships, to their professional lives, conquering fears/anxiety, reducing depression, coping with loss/trauma and more. I regularly conduct parenting groups for parents of adolescents devoted to better and harmonious relationships with their teens.
