As your therapist you can rely on me to work collaboratively with you to foster insight, self-compassion, and a deeper understanding of your emotions and needs. My clinical practice has supported clients to face a range of concerns including anxiety, OCD, relationships issues, eating disorders/body image concerns, sexuality, gender identity, grief, depression, and trauma.
I practice primarily from a person-centred psychodynamic approach, and often draw upon my expertise in CBT, DBT, IFS, and mindfulness when appropriate. My career has afforded me the privilege of working with clients with many diverse identities - so you won't have to deal with explaining how things work in your culture, community, or profession.
I personally believe mental health is more than the absence of illness, it is also about creating a sense of balance, building a good relationship with yourself, and finding your own definition of happiness.
