Counselling provides a safe space to work through aspects of your life that feel challenging. In my practice I have experience working with a diverse range of individuals with various challenges including anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, body image, and self-esteem. Working together, my goal is for you to feel supported in your journey while gaining insights into your present problems. In a session I will work collaboratively with you to better understand the root of your concerns and build a path forward. Our sessions may include processing the past, creating goals for the future, and discovering the present.
As an integrative therapist, I draw on various therapeutic theories and approaches. I have completed the Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) training, I am EMDR Certified, and am in process of completing a 2-Year Somatic Attachment Psychotherapy training. Other modalities I utilize are emotion focused and mindfulness-based therapy.
In counselling you have the opportunity to explore the many parts of yourself and how they show up and impact you in daily life. Our sessions are a conversation, guided by your life experiences, views and beliefs. I am grateful to do this work and hope to learn more about you and what brings you to reaching for support.
