Though I treat all ages, my clinical focus is on children, adolescents, and families. I have over 10 years of experience providing sound, evidenced based treatment to young adults, children, adolescents, teens and families. I offer brief models of therapy such as solution focused therapy & CBT. I also have extensive experience using psychodynamic approaches. I believe strongly in providing client centered care and welcome feedback. Please visit my website at www.andreagirvanmsw.org

Specifically, I specialize in addressing school avoidance in children and teens. School avoidance is a common and serious issue that is often misunderstood. I have the expertise to properly assess school avoidance and work with your child's school and your family to develop a comprehensive treatment plan.

It's extremely frustrating for a parent to have a child or teen that is struggling and not know how to help them. I understand that and will work with you in a non-judgmental way so that we can get to the root of the problem. I will always be in your child or teen's corner and will advocate for them to the best of my abilities.
