Hello and welcome! My name is Andrea Doroszkiewicz. I bring over 13 years of experience in the mental health and addiction field. As a Registered Psychotherapist since 2018, my passions include supporting individuals in navigating and managing anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, stress, decision making, substance use, procrastination and worry.
I have a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and bring knowledge from both a personal and professional perspective.
I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Brief Solution Focused therapy, and humour in my work. I work collaboratively with you towards improving your quality of life by strengthening your tolerance for uncertainty and becoming comfortable with the uncomfortable.
Diagrams, visuals, and metaphors are a constant presence in my practise. These tools help us learn and recall important concepts, especially outside of the therapy session!
