Hi, I am a transgender counselor (male to female) with a passion for helping those struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, concerns with gender and sexuality. I generally work with youth, with much of my background and experience being with adolescents and young adults. Clients have told me I am approachable as a counsellor, and that they feel safe exploring vulnerable topics and concerns with me. After working with me, clients can expect to feel more comfortable and confident with themselves, less affected by their trauma and past distressing experiences, and be feel more capable to cope with their concerns and symptoms.
I have training in EMDR, somatic experiencing, solution focused brief therapy, expressive arts therapy, DBT, and emotion focused therapy. I am a firm believer in establishing a healthy therapeutic rapport, as I believe this is paramount to effective work as a practitioner, whether it be short-term counseling or more intensive trauma work
