I am a Registered Psychotherapist offering psychotherapy and counselling services in private practice for individuals (18 and older) in the Ottawa region. I support individuals in the following areas of trauma, anxiety, stress management, grief and loss, low mood and depression, assertiveness training, relationship difficulties, challenging life transitions, and acculturation and immigration concerns. I also provide supervision to therapists who are registered, or working towards registration, with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
I approach clients from a strength-based perspective, honoring their knowledge of themselves and respecting that they are the experts in their lives. I believe everyone has the ability to gain control over their lives despite faced barriers, and that given the right environment, tools and support, they can achieve their goals and move forward.
As for my theoretical orientation, I acknowledge every client is unique and I integrate a variety of modalities to best fit the client's needs. I use Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Feminist Therapy, Mindfulness, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and Internal Family Systems (Level 2 trained).
