based approach. I believe the client-counsellor relationship is the most important part of counselling, and it is important for clients to find a therapist that is a good fit. I work collaboratively with clients to make sure their individual needs are met in counselling, as each person is unique.
My experience in schools, a university, non-profits, and private practice settings has allowed me to work with a wide variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, relationship issues and grief. I have specialized experience in working with sexual violence and other forms of trauma, including workplace injuries and abusive relationships.
I practice primarily using somatic and mindfulness psychotherapies, emotionally focused therapy, and cognitive behavioural approaches. I have specialized trauma training in Somatic Experiencing & Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). I work with clients to draw on their existing strengths, as well as to develop new strategies, tools, and personal resources.
