Dr. Shannon is founder and clinical director of Resolution Psychology. In her clinical practice, she takes a holistic approach to mental health. This means that the focus is on creating mental wellness and a sense of flourishing rather than just reducing symptoms. She helps her clients: Improve their sense of wellbeing, Build meaningful relationships, Learn to cope with life’s challenges, and Achieve their life goals. She has expertise in Trauma, Eating, Body image, Self-esteem, Anxiety, Depression, and Interpersonal relationships

Before founding Resolution Psychology Dr. Shannon spent 5 years working at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) in the Psychological Trauma/Work, Stress, & Health programs where she assisted individuals who were experiencing challenges with the sequela of psychological trauma with a special focus on working with first responders.
Dr. Shannon has also completed training at the University Health Network where she focused on assisting individuals who had challenges with eating and body image. In addition, she has published several scholarly works focused on perfectionism, eating, and body image. She currently holds a faculty position at York University.
