As a Registered Professional Art Therapist (DVATI, RCAT), Registered Social Worker (MSW, RSW) and Psychotherapist, my specialty area is working with children, youth and families. My passion is to support children as they navigate mental health challenges. My extensive paediatric healthcare experience can assist you in navigating various public services, unique to your child's experience. I offer services to a wide age range of ages including 4-18 years old. Children who are aged 4-10 often benefit from dyad sessions, which involves a parent. If you are concerned about relationship issues, art therapy can be a reparative experience.
My approach is a blend of social work skills, art therapy, talk therapy and CBT. I focus on feelings and emotions, self compassion, thought patterns, self care, self esteem and problem solving. Studio based therapy takes the focus off of the experience feeling overly clinical. The studio is comforting and welcoming. Children are encouraged to take the lead.
