Hi! I'm Amy - a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) and Registered Counselling Therapist Candidate (RCT-C). I specialize in sex therapy, and work with clients in both British Columbia and Nova Scotia (waitlist for Jan 2025). I started my practice to help others increase authenticity, playfulness, and connection within their intimate relationships. Together, we will co-create a relaxed, open space to honestly explore your questions, needs, and wants. I support my clients to cultivate pleasure and nurture erotic energy by examining and challenging the unhelpful beliefs and social messages that often prevent us from accessing desire.
I use an interpersonal-attachment lens to understand our relational patterns and connection with others. I will integrate specialized interventions as appropriate, such as mindfulness and somatic exercises, to meet your unique needs and therapeutic goals. I may also share accurate, sex-positive resources and experiential 'homework' exercises.
My therapeutic approach is trauma-informed, sex-positive, poly- and kink-friendly, and body-neutral. With me, you can expect thoughtful curiosity, compassion, warmth, and often humour! We don't have to take sex so seriously all the time - let's change the script and shift our focus back to pleasure and fun!
