About
Accepting Clients! Welcome. Has anxiety been a part of your life for a long time? Are you wanting to build your self-esteem, and wanting to improve/ understand your family dynamic? My name is Amrita and as a compassionate licensed therapist, I hope to support you on your journey toward a fulfilling life. In our sessions, you will find a safe, judgment-free space where you feel seen and heard, and can openly share your experiences, where we work together towards meaningful change, at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
I’m passionate about helping older youth and adults who struggle with anxiety and low self-esteem and hold beliefs, such as “not being good enough,” because of experiencing significant life events (trauma, attachment, and cultural issues). Together, we can begin working towards empowering you to become your authentic self as you reclaim your inner dialogue.
My approach may involve looking at an individual's past and present and exploring the system/culture in which they live. The modalities I often lean on include CBT, acceptance and commitment, internal family systems, attachment theory, exploring inner child, mindfulness/ somatic, trauma-informed, EMDR and culturally sensitive.
