Some people are surprised to learn that trauma is all around us. Trauma can happen with physical, sexual or emotional abuse in addition to childhood neglect, racism, discrimination and oppression. People can also feel traumatized during childbirth, loss of life, career and major life changes, as well as divorce, bullying and rejection.
In therapy, I help my clients to identify when they have been impacted by trauma along with how it has impacted feelings about themselves and relationships with others. I help my clients accept that trauma is something that 'happened to' them, rather than something that is 'wrong' with them. Together, we will work to help you live a more fulfilling life.
