Amber is Saskatchewan's first and only Certified Synergetic Play Therapist. With over 10 years experience working with children/youth and their families in our community, Amber is passionate about creating non-judgmental, safe and supportive spaces for clients to be their authentic selves. Amber's approach is rooted in the belief that children/youth are strong, resilient and capable and simply require supportive and caring adults to help unlock their capabilities and walk alongside them.
Using evidence based foundational practices, Play Therapy & Somatic Attachment Therapy, containment and safety is built allowing the client to process and work through experiences and challenges that can be difficult to process and understand. Play, art and sand are key tools in this process-however the client's preferences and needs are always forefront.
As a mom of two, Amber is passionate about creating an environment for families that is shame-free, individualized and holistic. Amber strongly believes that it takes a village to raise a child and is honored to be a part of the journey. With accessibility and ease in mind, sessions can take place in office, virtually or at the client's school.
