As a clinical psychologist in supervised practice, I provide assessment and treatment services to people experiencing a wide range of mental health difficulties including PTSD, anxiety, depression, stress, relationship issues, and grief. I specialize in treating trauma and stressor-related disorders. I have a particular interest in working with women navigating the prenatal and postpartum periods. The therapeutic relationship is a critical component to therapy and I work collaboratively with clients to identify treatment goals, understand current difficulties, and implement a treatment plan to overcome those difficulties.
Concurrent to my work in private practice, I am a staff psychologist with the Operational Stress Injury Clinic at The Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre, where I provide services to members of the Canadian Armed Forces and Royal Canadian Mounted Police. I work from a cognitive-behavioural approach integrating mindfulness and acceptance techniques.
Asking for help is not easy, but starting therapy can be a powerful move toward improving your well-being. Finding the right therapist—someone you feel comfortable with and who has the expertise to help with your specific difficulties—can make all the difference. Contact me for a free phone consultation so we can explore whether I might be the right fit.
