Your current circumstances don't dictate where you'll end up. They serve as a starting point for change. We all have the potential to move forward, sometimes having support is the key to getting there. My counselling approach is collaborative and straightforward with a touch of humour. Using a blend of your personal experiences and life context with evidence-based practices such as eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) and family systems we pinpoint your strengths and build positive coping skills to help you reach your goals.
With insights from my personal background and a decade of professional experience, I strive to build trust and rapport. This involves establishing an authentic, safe and educational space to share open discussions for challenging topics.
My counselling style focuses on helping you navigate trauma, develop emotional skills, adjust thought processes and address past and present concerns safely. I enjoy working with diverse adult clientele and couples with varying concerns such as addictions, mental health and life transitions. Please contact me if you have any further questions.
