"Dan employs common sense strategies that allow his clients to implement new ways of seeing the world in a positive light. He'll tell you that the most powerful tool on earth is the human mind but nobody ever gave us the operations manual. Dan sees himself as a mechanic of sorts, offering information from the minds operational handbook, allowing his clients to switch off the auto pilot and switch on their self determination to overcome adversity and accomplish more. Dan won't shy away from politically incorrect responses and thanks you, in advance, for your confidence."

"What if you could talk to your partner without it becoming an escalated argument every single time? You’re looking for a therapist either because you’re not getting the emotional affection you need or because you have the same fights over and over. You try to discuss your problems but always end up disconnected. You’ve already tried everything you know to do. You have attempted some conversations, gone on date nights, read some books, and may have been to a therapist before. You’re scared of what might happen if something doesn’t change soon. Things are at the point now where you know you need professional help. "

"As we journey through life, unfair things happen. The associated thoughts, feelings and people can stay with us as painful memories, create a sense of burden and influence our future expectations. While we can't change the past, it is under our control to change the way we look at what happened. As challenging events and relationships unfold, we can control how we respond. We do this by becoming more aware of automatic negative reactions and replacing them with healthier thoughts, feelings and behaviours. It is possible for you to obtain a new lease on life and to embrace a future filled with things that have seemed out of reach."

"I am a strong believer in the power and ability of each of us to experience personal growth and transformation. My clinical experience is that change is much longer lasting when we are active participants in our own recovery. I do not believe in a "one size fits all" approach to therapy and tailor my counselling to the individual. I emphasize therapeutic interventions based on quality research when supporting my clients."

"I am passionate about working with clients who are seeking to improve their sleep, energy, focus and attention and/or who would like to experience less reactivity, racing thoughts, or panic attacks. People who deal with anxiety, high stress levels, PTSD, are recovering from concussion, or children or adults who have ADHD, autism or learning disabilities are the clients I see the most. Following a series of sessions, it is very rewarding to see the frequency, intensity or duration of symptoms subside and clients more able to access and use tools such as mindfulness, meditation or yoga in order to manage day to day stresses. "I work from a model of health, balance and empathy by bringing into awareness the places where we get stuck and our unique ways of getting there. You know best when your patterns of coping are no longer working. A therapist's job is to support you in creating positive shifts in your life. This support may sometimes feel frustrating, especially when our familiar patterns of functioning are being challenged. I incorporate art, humour and paradox in sessions allowing for a creative, spontaneous exploration of your needs, contradictions and feelings and by providing a safe space where new possibilities and hope are possible."

With a decade of experience working in mental health and addictions treatment Nicole is rooted in the belief that people do the best they can with what they have. "I work with people who are quite conscious of their issues and have a strong drive to address them. Together we invent a unique therapeutic environment designed to take you towards permanent, satisfying change, and to equip you to stay stable and enjoy life with a minimum of ongoing therapeutic support. There is no issue too strange or too dark, because you have come by the effects of your life circumstances honestly and creatively. Longstanding patterns like anxiety, depression and fear can be substantially altered when we enable your own healing power, strengths and skills to emerge to your advantage."

Alzheimer's (Dementia) Counsellors
A progressive neurodegenerative disease, Alzheimers Disease slowly destroys an individual's memory, judgment, cognition and eventually ability to function. It represents an enormous burden on victims of the disease and their family alike.

Alzheimer's is characterized by memory loss, language deterioration, impaired ability to mentally manipulate visual information, poor judgment, confusion, restlessness, and mood swings.

Alzheimer's usually begins after age 65, but its onset may occur as early as age 40, appearing first as memory decline and, over several years, destroying cognition, personality, and ability to function. Confusion and restlessness may also occur. The early symptoms of AD, which include forgetfulness and loss of concentration, can be missed easily because they resemble signs of natural aging.

If you're looking for help for a friend or mother or father with alzheimer's in L2S or for a L2S alzheimer's counsellor, these professionals provide alzheimer's help, alzheimer's therapy, alzheimer's counselling and alzheimer's treatment. They include alzheimer's counsellors, alzheimer's psychologists and alzheimer's therapists. Counsellors can help with testing for alzheimer's or diagnosis of alzheimers in L2S. They work with alzheimer behaviors in L2S and follow alzheimer's research. Counsellors can provide support for family members and carers of alzheimer's patients in L2S or direct you to local alzheimer's resources.

How can I tell if a therapist is right for me?
Therapists in L2S are able to work with a wide range of issues.

For example, if you're seeking a marriage counsellor in L2S you'll find that most therapists are trained in marriage counselling or couples counselling in L2S and couples therapy. And they welcome families for family counselling in L2S or family therapy in L2S.
