I feel grateful for the opportunity to offer my clients a safe and collaborative space where they can feel heard, supported and validated. In facing such difficult times, there is a need now more than ever to ensure we take care of our Mental Health. Each client has their own subjective experiences that deserve the chance to be explored and met with empathy. Together we can practice a way of coping that works specifically for you, and your needs. Feel free to reach out at: alyssa.truerootstherapy@gmail.com
I take a collaborative, empathetic and trauma-informed approach with all my clients. I work from a Person-Centred & Emotion-Focused lens, always ensuring that therapy moves at a pace you are comfortable with. In exploring our emotions we can also learn ways to cope with them. I often draw interventions from CBT and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction.
Taking that first step to seek help can feel scary and overwhelming. As a counsellor I understand the anxiety that can come with the vulnerability of opening up. In offering free 15 minute consultations over the phone and via Zoom my hope is to help ease that anxiety by getting to know you better. From there, we can decide what therapy will look like for you
