Sometimes, more sessions are needed in order to meet treatment goals. However, a minimal amount of sessions can often be enough to make positive steps forward. I focus on a strength based, confidential, supportive and judgment free approach to guide individuals and families in living their best lives. Life is too short to be unhappy, unsure, or unfulfilled. I have 19 years of combined experience in the field of social work, working with both individuals and families. I am trained in Brief Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Informed Therapy and trauma informed trainings. I am certified in Mental Health First Aid through the Mental Health Commission of Canada and ASIST.
Going to see a mental health counsellor should be as acceptable as going to the hospital for a broken arm.
