I have been a Registered Social Worker in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers since 2016 and have over 20 years of human service experience. My career has been spent working in both education and health care settings. I have experience in addiction, depression, anxiety, trauma, borderline personality disorder as well as working with individuals with severe mental illness. I have trained and practiced in several evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Prolonged Exposure Therapy.
Currently my practice is for individuals 14 years and older and I offer sessions during daytime hours and evenings. In addition to being a practicing social worker, I am also a wife and mother of 2 boys and a very silly golden retriever. In my few spare moments you can find me running or skiing in our beautiful wilderness.
Choosing to start therapy can be one of the most difficult yet life changing experiences you can make. As a social worker I believe that when people are healed from their past, and can embrace their difficult emotions in the present, then they will no doubt have an amazing future.
