Hi, I'm Ali. I'm glad you're here - we were never meant to do this alone. I work with adults, teens (12+), and couples/relationships. Therapy with me is a conversation. I'm compassionate, curious, and I love when laughter sneaks into the room. My areas of focus include: trauma, career and life transitions, gender and sexuality, neurodivergence, and well-being for artists/creatives. I have experience supporting people through depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, identity questions, and loss. I also draw on 12+ years of experience working as a professional theatre artist across Canada.
As a Narrative, trauma-informed therapist, I believe we each have an innate ability to heal and grow – but sometimes we get stuck. Our brains and bodies develop defence mechanisms to protect us during hard times. Sometimes, these stick around as unhelpful patterns after the danger has passed. I can help you identify, understand, and shift these patterns.
Together, we can gain a clearer picture of what's important to you and how to move towards it. I believe that when I earn someone's trust as a therapist, therapy sessions can be a life-changing experience of connection, safety, and clarity. If you feel ready, I'd be honoured to hear your story.
