With over twenty years of experience working in the field, I know that we are all hardwired for healing and connection, even when feeling confused and overwhelmed by life challenges. My practice style is to team up with my clients to facilitate deep self-knowledge, understanding and empowerment to create change and growth in a warm and accepting environment. I have experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, life transitions, regulating difficult emotions and self-esteem. I provide service to individuals (13 yrs.+), couples and families.
I work using different models to fit the approach that is right for you. I blend effective evidence based interventions like CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) and Solution Focused Therapy with humanistic approaches like Gestalt Therapy, mindfulness and trauma informed interventions.

In this group you will learn how to improve your skills to regulate negative emotions. We will practice mindfulness, distress tolerance emotion regulation and interpersonal skills to minimize and manage triggers to extreme emotional states and improve quality of life. We will do so in a safe environment. The group runs for 14 weeks.

Adult DBT skills
This 14-week accelerated DBT skills training group is designed to help you effectively control difficult emotional states that create destructive behavioral patterns. The goal is to relate better to others and yourself.. The four modules of this group include mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. This group is open to adult men and women (ages 18+) who want to decrease their destructive behavioral patterns, learn to tolerate painful emotions, and enhance the relationships in their lives. Weekly attendance is requested.
